I had read so many rave reviews, I had to go. I went, but I won't go back again soon.
This is a hole-in-the-wall fast food place - nothing fancy at all. The food they serve looks and tastes good, is freshly prepared for each patron, but frankly I was expecting something special, and I didn't get it.
I had the shawarma, which was hot, full of flavor, with lots of fresh goodies piled on the sliced pita. Get the hot sauce which really kicks it up in flavor. It was good, but no better than many others I've had. The rotisseried meat from which the cook shaved the meat for my sandwich looked more like real meat than most I've seen, but again, not that special. I got the shawarma with fries and a drink, for $8. Not especially cheap. The fries had a nice salt seasoning on them, and were served piping hot, but they were just frozen French fries.
I watched the cook (seemingly a one man band - took your order, cooked your food, served it) make some falafel and they were hand dipped and fried and if I go back that is what I will order.
The restaurant itself was kind of tired and dated, clearly oriented to a very young clientèle. I looked around, and it just looked a little dirty, so I ordered my food to go.
